Speak Up Hacks: Get Heard, Even Without the Title

You had the point. Someone with a bigger title, or just a louder voice, made it first. This situation-based session builds the thinking behind the moments where being heard is on the line, so your ideas, and the credit for them, stay with you.

All Audiences 2–3 hrs In-person or online English / Marathi / Bilingual

A few honest questions first.

Think of the last time someone repeated your idea and got the credit. What actually happened in that gap?

When did you last let a sentence trail off, hoping someone else would finish it for you?

If you are new to a team, is your silence building credibility, or is it letting other people decide what to think of you?

If any of those felt familiar, this session is built for exactly that.

Four kinds of moments where being heard is on the line.

Owning your idea

Making sure the idea, and the credit, stay with the person who had it.

Taking and giving feedback

Staying steady when criticism arrives, and staying honest when you are the one giving it.

Holding the floor

Keeping your turn to speak, and steering a conversation that has lost its way.

Reading the moment

Choosing what to say based on what the moment and the listener need.

You will not memorise scripts. You will learn the thinking pattern behind each moment, so it still works when the real situation looks different from the one we practised.

Freshers, Entry-Level and Mid-Level professionals who have something to say.

If you are sharp one-to-one but go quiet in meetings, or you keep hearing your own idea in someone else’s voice, this session is for you. It is built for the stage where you are still earning your voice at work.

The full session outline is shared in the free 20-minute conversation.

Every session also comes with daily practice hacks: small, repeatable habits that keep the skill alive after the session.

Speaking up at work: straight answers.

How do you speak up in meetings when you are not the most senior person?

Most people either wait for a perfect opening that never comes, or start with an apology that tells everyone to discount what follows. Opening by apologising for your own idea, and sentences that trail off, both weaken your point before you make it. Direction: claim your turn deliberately, then make the point directly.

How do you give feedback to a colleague without upsetting them?

Feedback usually fails in one of two ways: it is so soft that nothing changes, or so harsh that the relationship takes the hit. Sweeping judgments about the person or the work make people defend themselves instead of listening. Direction: aim to be honest without making the other person defensive.

How do you handle criticism at work, especially in front of the team?

The instinct is to defend, go silent or visibly deflate, and all three cost you credibility in that moment. Protesting that it is unfair, or correcting the record on the spot, turns a correctable moment into a public argument. Direction: aim to stay composed in the moment, and give any explanation the right time and place.

Do I have to memorise scripts?

No. Speak Up Hacks teaches thinking patterns for each moment, not lines to recite. You practise saying things out loud in your own words, so it holds up when the real situation looks different.

Can Speak Up Hacks be customized for our team, and what does it cost?

Yes. Every engagement is customized to your team’s level, language and schedule, so pricing is per engagement. Contact us for a quote. The first conversation is free and takes about 20 minutes.

“Think of the last time you had something to say and did not say it. What would you do differently tomorrow?”

If you are not sure, that is what this session is for.
